UK-based Lyte Industries has updated its LytePod product to meet the latest standards required for working from height.

The company’s low-level work platform, LytePod, is certified BS 8620, which is an upgrade on the former standard PAS250, and includes a dimensional change to side protection and a change to two tests.

Before the PAS250 (Publically Available Standard) was introduced, podiums and low-level work platforms were manufactured without a standard to adhere to. In November 2016, the PAS250 was converted to BS 8620.

The company’s LytePod product is available at three working heights and had two removable parts.

Lyte Industries has been in operation for over 70 years and is based in Swansea, Wales, in the UK.
